A. LMS & Websites (Slide Show)
1. If you have time left over, please visit the Play space above. Find a content-area game you like and practice the skills you'll need for this year!!
B. Destiny Library (Slide Show)
1. Open the slide show above & follow along if you like. OR. Go to the Destiny Library Catalog and follow along with your teacher as s/he presents the slides.
2. When the Slide Show ends, choose a partner & complete the Scavenger Hunt on your own paper. (Number from 1 - 10. Put both names on the paper.)
3. If you finish early, feel free to browse the PLAY section above.
4. Work carefully, those with PERFECT Hunts will receive a prize!!
5. Turn your paper in before you leave. Thanks for playing!!

C. Advanced (& Efficient) Searching (Slide Show)
1. Choose a partner and open Google Website Evaluation Form on ONE of your computers. Log in if you're asked to do so. (Does one of you remember your password??)
2. Choose the Use This Template option at the upper left.
3. On the other computer open the following website: BOILERPLATE: History's Mechanical Marvel
4. Work quickly to complete as many items as possible.
5. Share your answers and conclusions when asked.
6. Get better and more academic information by using Google Advanced Search in the future!! (Listen to your teacher's directions and try a couple of searches on your own.)

1. Open the SocialMediaModule below and participate in our group discussion. You do not need to Join the room with your own name, BUT you MUST BE SCHOOL APPROPRIATE in the alias you choose! Your teacher has the power to kick you out of the room if you participate in ways that are not helpful to the discussion. Remember: you're in school -- your work space/business environment!

E. Saving Options
1. Complete all of the steps at the "How NOT to Lose Your Stuff" Jog the Web. Take notes on the handout given to you by your teacher.
F. Google Drive
1. Open one of the document titled HS Drive Intro or MS Drive Intro
3. Fill in the blanks with your responses to each item. (Try not to put your cursor in a square where others are already responding!)
4. Somebody read this out loud: Google is not just a search engine. And your school email is not just an email. Your school email log in gets you a TON of TOOLS from Google for creating documents, slide shows, spreadsheets, forms, websites -- all of which can be saved in the cloud. Being in the cloud also lets you collaborate with others (like we just did with the Drive Intro activity), so that you can create, share, and present with a partner, with your teacher, or in groups of up to 50 people!

When you're at school use your school gmail account. Let's say that again: When you're at school USE YOUR SCHOOL GMAIL! One more time?? USE YOUR SCHOOL GMAIL AT SCHOOL. And don't forget your log in information. Your teachers need for you to have access to your Google Drive at all times!
